It’s that time of year that many of us love. By now, many of us have already put up our Christmas trees or are about to set them up. And with all these preparations, a very important item makes its way to the supermarkets and our tables… hazelnuts. This beautiful tradition of placing a bowl of walnuts and hazelnuts in the center of the dining room table.
Of all nuts and seeds, hazelnuts are among the best sources of nutrients and antioxidants. They provide us with B vitamins, vitamin C, calcium, protein, and fiber. As if that weren’t enough, they’re known for their high content of monounsaturated fats—they contain even more of this type of fat than olive oil.
Hazelnuts—that wonderful Christmas tradition—make the perfect snack, packed with plant-based protein and highly nutritious fats. Enjoy a handful every day, or whenever you walk past your little Christmas tree. Christmas is here, Christmas is here, Christmas is here!
