"No Label, No Stigma" is an initiative to combat the stigma associated with HIV.
Stigma and discrimination are barriers that complicate the lives of those living with HIV.
These negative attitudes can limit access to medical care, reduce quality of life, and contribute to the spread of the virus. At Centro Ararat, we are committed to creating an inclusive, prejudice-free environment. That is why we have launched our “No Label, No Stigma” campaign, with the goal of educating and raising awareness about HIV stigma.
What is HIV-related stigma?
HIV-related stigma manifests itself through negative attitudes and unfounded assumptions about people living with HIV. This triggers discrimination, rejection, prejudice, and sometimes threats to their lives. It is crucial to understand that stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV seriously compromise the physical and emotional well-being of those living with the virus.
How do I join the movement?
Empower your friends, loved ones, and social media followers to raise awareness about stigma with the graphic resources we present here.
We will also be carrying out various activities that address the issue of stigma. Our focus should be on identifying stigmatizing actions, learning how to counteract them, and promoting the creation of environments free of stigma and discrimination.
